Hi Jethro,
I wanted to pass on a photo from my place here in Mountain Home. Not only did the obvious sunflowers remind me of Farm Town, but our windmill in the background. Hope to get some others in to you later this evening….

LEFT Taken near to the football stadium here next to where I work. Corn fields to the left and homes to the right.

CENTER This is taken on my way to work, Labruge Portugal. Mist and a church bell tower way down at the end.

RIGHT This one is more towards the coast, in the background you can see the ocean (Atlantic ocean) A mixture of houses and corn fields. This day the sun was shining.

Orange Tree, Tall Cotton, and Goober

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

Hey Jethro,

Got a couple pics for ya. I always see things that remind me of FT, so now, I take me camera with me everywhere. This is some tree in the front yard that I thought looked simular to the orange trees. Note the weeds in the background that kinda look like cotton fields.

And, I appologize for the Goober and his stupid face. But I saw the bench and I thought of Farmtown. I wanted to get the corn fields along the way into town, but didn’t think I could get a shot without the power lines in the way. I’ll send ‘em when I get ‘em.

Yours kindly,

My friend and neighbor, Desiree Kettler shared this “Things in real life that remind me of Farm Town” foto. She didn’t include a description but it would appear that she has been at a Farmers Market when these cabbage and peppers jumped out at her. She snapped a picture and sent it to me and I had to smile when I seen this because for a while about all I planted was cabbage and peppers. How funny! Thank you Desiree.

Oregon Wheat Field, Sunflowers and Wind Pump

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

Hi Jethro and all my fellow Farm Town addicts,
I took these photos in between Junction City and Corvallis, Oregon. We ride our motorcycles through this area, so I had to stop and take some photos to share with everyone. I think they are some of my favorite motorcycle roads this time of year, not just because of the Farm Town memories, but also because they are such a good example of just some of the spectacular beauty that Oregon has to offer.

Thank you so much,
~ Karen Summer : )

Corn Field

I can’t believe it, but I actually remembered to take my camera with me when I went to town last week and I’m so glad I did. If I hadn’t I wouldn’t have been able to share this great corn field with you.  Grab your sickles and lets HARVEST!!

This is actually my home, on a mountain top in West Virginia.  Sorta reminds me of the little brown house on Farm Town.

Y’all come and set a spell, will leave the porch light burnin’ for ya.
