Farm Town Feature Update

Friday, February 26th, 2010

David Cooper sent me this information on the recent updates just prior to our last show so we could share it on the program. I decided to go ahead and post it here for you in case you have additional questions. For very detailed information about every aspect of Farm Town, please check out Davids “Farm Town Data Sheet.”

Chicken Coop: Allows you to harvest the eggs of the hens and geese and sell the eggs at the marketplace. The Hen is a new animal that your friends can send you as a gift. You can harvest them once every day.

Wool Shed: This is a new building that allows you to harvest the wool of the sheep and llamas and sell the wool at the marketplace. You can harvest them once every 2 days…. See More

Dairy Shed: Allows you to harvest the milk of the cows and goats and sell the milk at the marketplace. You can harvest them once every 3 days.

You just need to click on the animal building and select the harvest option. All the animals on your farm related to that building will be harvested at once. Note that depending on your computer power and other factors, having an exesive amount of animals on your farm can make the game slower.

The Dairy Shed has been moved from level 49 to level 27. A new Stone Cabin has been added on the level 49.

  • Cow’s Milk, 3 days, 100 coins
  • Goat’s Milk, 3 days, 90 coins
  • Sheep’s wool, 2 days, 55 coins
  • Llama’s wool, 2 days, 65 coins
  • Hen’s eggs, 1 day, 25 coins
  • Goose eggs, 1 day, 30 coins.

Also, your item storage capacity has been increased. Now you can storage 5 additional items for each neighbor you have.

Farm Town Weekly Season II Episode 15

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

Farm Town Weekly Season II Episode 15It felt good for us to be back in the saddle after a 1-week break. We recorded Episode 15 with our good friends who regularly join us in the live chat room along with some new friends that came and joined in on the fun.

For those that may be new to Farm Town Weekly, our traditional format is to simply get together and talk over whats happening with the development of the Farm Town game, glitches, tips, and techniques. We also enjoy talking about our neighbors who we have shared a lot of good times with while playing this highly interactive game. While Farm Town will continue to be the reason we all got together as a community, we are looking forward to adding new games and topics from the real world to our show.

Already we have a friendly competition each week to see who in our community will achieve the Top 10 list on Bejeweled Blitz. We have talked a little about Country Life, and on this episode we invited the gang to spend the week giving Mafia Wars by Zynga an honest try.

Some of our Farming Friends are already regular Mafia Wars players while others may have added Mafia Wars just to help a friend or they checked it out and didn’t find it as fun to play as some of the many other games available through Facebook. Our guess is that if we get together and play Mafia Wars together, most everyone will find that it is a very fun as well as interesting game that offers something for just about everyone. If you have not yet done so, please add Mafia Wars to your apps list and give it an honest try. Then get together with us next Monday evening to tell us what you learned or what you need to know in order to better enjoy the game.

Thanks once again to my wonderful Cohost, Mountain Mamma and my #1 sidekick in life; Ms. Kelly for another great time recording Farm Town Weekly. See ya next week.

Farm Town Weekly Season II Episode 14

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Farm Town Weekly Season II - Episode 14Tonight, Mountain Mamma, Ms. Kelly and I enjoyed having our friend David (Farm Town Data Sheet) on the show with us once again along with our Ol Friend Colby. The five of us talked at length about a range of Farm Town topics.

For those interested in following us for another season, we have yet to make a final decision but promise to make that announcement on the next episode. Thank you for your patience!

Following an hour of Farm Town discussion, we talked for a while about the website, People of Walmart. The commentary about this popular website was partly just for fun and partly for thought.
